Roxanne Livingston to Lead New Mexico Construction Alliance

The New Mexico Construction Alliance (NMCA) has selected Roxanne Livingston as its new executive director, ushering in a new era of leadership for the statewide trade organization that represents and advocates for the construction industry.

Livingston, a well-known entrepreneur and community leader in southern New Mexico, has more than 17 years of experience in business leadership. She owns Livingston Bridal, a long-standing business serving brides across the region, and also manages events at The Blue Door Venue, a popular gathering space in the Mesilla–Las Cruces area.
Her professional background is complemented by her academic achievements. She holds a master’s degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism management from New Mexico State University (NMSU), equipping her with expertise in hospitality, operations, and client engagement—skills that translate directly into organizational leadership.
"Roxanne's dedication to the community and her strong business acumen make her an excellent fit to lead NMCA into its next chapter," said Steve Montanez, who has served as interim director during the search process. "Her proven leadership and commitment to her clients are exactly what our organization needs as we continue to grow and support New Mexico's construction industry."
A History of Community Engagement
Beyond her business ventures, Livingston has established herself as a civic-minded leader. She has volunteered with Toys for Tots in Las Cruces, supporting children and families during the holiday season, and has been active in numerous community programs. She also represented New Mexico on a statewide and national stage, serving two terms as Mrs. New Mexico, further cementing her visibility as a public figure dedicated to service and leadership.
Driving NMCA’s Future

As executive director, Livingston will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives, strengthening membership engagement, and expanding advocacy on behalf of construction professionals and companies across the state. She will also guide the Alliance’s events and workforce development efforts, ensuring the organization remains a critical voice for an industry that plays a major role in New Mexico’s economy.
The construction industry in New Mexico employs tens of thousands of workers and serves as a vital driver of infrastructure, housing, and economic development. NMCA has historically worked to connect contractors, suppliers, and policymakers, and under Livingston’s leadership, the Alliance is expected to place even greater emphasis on training, education, and workforce readiness to meet the state’s growing labor needs.
Livingston’s background in both business and community service is seen as a major asset. By bridging entrepreneurial thinking with civic responsibility, she is positioned to elevate the organization’s visibility and influence at the local, regional, and state levels.
Looking Ahead
Her appointment comes at a time when New Mexico faces increasing demand for construction talent, with major projects underway in healthcare, education, energy, and infrastructure. Livingston will play a key role in ensuring NMCA members have access to resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy that help them succeed in this competitive landscape.
With her blend of business leadership, organizational management, and community engagement, Livingston is expected to bring fresh energy and perspective to the Alliance, helping it expand its impact and strengthen its role as a unifying force for construction professionals across New Mexico.
