Royalty Roofing USA has acquired Tingley Roofing, expanding its commercial and residential roofing operations in east-central Illinois and continuing an active acquisition strategy across the Midwest and other U.S. markets.

The Paris, Illinois-based contractor serves residential and commercial customers across communities along the Illinois-Indiana border. Tingley will retain its existing name and branding, while integration into the Royalty Roofing platform is underway.

Royalty Expands Midwest Roofing Footprint

Founded in 1986, Royalty Roofing USA is headquartered in Seymour, Indiana, and provides commercial and residential roofing services including reroofing, inspections, maintenance and repairs. The company is backed by Dallas-based private equity firm Six Pillars Partners.

Tingley Roofing was founded by John Tingley and serves markets including Danville, Brazil, Effingham and Charleston. John Tingley and his team will remain with the business following the acquisition.

The transaction represents Royalty’s fourth acquisition of 2026. Earlier acquisitions added roofing companies in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Vermont and New Hampshire.

Acquisition Strategy Targets Regional Roofing Contractors

The Tingley acquisition gives Royalty an opportunity to expand its footprint close to its Indiana base while maintaining a portfolio model in which acquired companies retain their established brands.

For roofing contractors and business owners, continued acquisition activity highlights the growing role of consolidation in the specialty contracting sector. Buyers are seeking established companies with experienced workforces, regional customer relationships and complementary geographic footprints.

Royalty’s strategy of retaining acquired brands also allows established contractors to preserve their local market identities while gaining access to the resources and infrastructure of a larger platform.

The transaction adds another established roofing contractor to Royalty’s expanding portfolio and demonstrates continued private equity-backed consolidation across the roofing industry.
