LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Organizers of the Southern Indiana skate park project have successfully secured the remaining funds, officially completing the $1.3 million funding goal. During a town meeting, Corydon leaders were able to reallocate funds to cover the final portion of the budget.
A crucial $350,000 grant from the Harrison County Community Foundation helped kick-start the project.
The park, designed by Hunger Skateparks, will feature unique amenities, including the only Fingerboard feature in southern Indiana, spectator seating, a transition hip, flat rail, banked hip, volcano quarter pipe, and a rain garden.
Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2025, with the park expected to be completed by the summer of 2025.
