Southland Industries has been named to the 2026 Fortune Best Workplaces in Construction list, ranking No. 14 among large companies. Announced on Oct. 15, 2026, the recognition marks the third time the building systems provider has appeared on the list.
The ranking, presented by Fortune and Great Place To Work, evaluates employee experience across construction industry employers. The 2026 selection process analysed more than 64,000 employee survey responses from certified companies in the sector.
Southland also received its Great Place To Work Certification for 2026–2027, extending its certification streak to six consecutive years. In the Trust Index survey, 89% of participating employees said the company is a great place to work.
The Great Place To Work assessment considers five aspects of workplace culture: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and belonging. Employee feedback is central to the certification process and provides insight into how workers experience their organisation.
Lisa Starr, Southland’s chief human resources officer, said the company focuses on creating a people-first culture that supports career development, leadership growth and employee connection to its mission. She said the latest recognition reflects employees’ role in the company’s success.
Southland provides integrated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other building systems solutions across the design, construction and operation of buildings. Its workplace recognition highlights the role of employee experience and organisational culture within the construction and building services industry.
