Stevens Construction has officially begun construction on two new Aroma Joe’s coffee shops in Southwest Florida, marking another step in the brand’s regional expansion and continued growth of drive-thru-focused retail development.
The projects, announced by Stevens Construction Executive Vice President and Partner Dan Adams, include new locations in Port Charlotte and North Fort Myers. Stevens Construction, which maintains offices in Fort Myers and Orlando, specializes in construction management and general contracting services for healthcare, commercial and hospitality projects across Florida.
Each Aroma Joe’s shop will feature a 1,598-square-foot standalone building designed to support high-volume service while maintaining a comfortable customer experience. The layout includes indoor and outdoor seating, an order counter, food preparation areas, restrooms and a dedicated drive-thru. The locations will serve the brand’s full menu of handcrafted coffee and espresso beverages, flavor infusions, AJ’s RUSH energy drinks and all-day food offerings.
Construction is already underway at the Port Charlotte site, located at 16400 Franklin Ave. Work on the North Fort Myers location, planned for 18961 Del Tura Plaza Lane, is scheduled to begin in January. Both projects are targeting completion in summer 2026.
PDS Architecture is serving as the architect of record for both developments, with Avalon Engineering providing civil engineering services. The Stevens Construction project team includes Project Manager Hunter Stevens and Project Administrator Krista Grandinetti. Ken Redman is overseeing construction as superintendent at the Port Charlotte site, while Matt Adalpe will serve as superintendent for the North Fort Myers build.
The Aroma Joe’s projects reflect continued momentum in Florida’s quick-service coffee market, where demand for efficient, drive-thru-oriented designs continues to grow.
