Leadership appointments within transportation organizations continue to support workforce development and infrastructure funding initiatives. STV has announced that Patricia Macchi, the firm's vice president and national director of infrastructure economics and grants advisory, has been appointed treasurer of the WTS Foundation Board of Directors for the 2026-2028 term.
As treasurer, Macchi will help oversee the foundation's financial management as it invests in scholarship programs, workforce development initiatives and research aimed at strengthening the transportation industry's future workforce.
Her appointment follows previous service on the WTS Foundation Board, including leadership of the organization's Research Committee.
At STV, Macchi advises public and private sector clients on infrastructure economics, grant funding strategies and financing approaches for transportation and infrastructure programs.
The WTS Foundation focuses on expanding educational opportunities, career development and research to strengthen the transportation workforce pipeline, particularly by supporting women entering and advancing within the industry.
Macchi has also contributed to mentorship, education and leadership initiatives through the organization's Washington, D.C., chapter.
For infrastructure owners, transportation agencies and engineering firms, workforce development remains essential as demand for transportation investment continues to grow. Leadership roles within industry organizations help support scholarship programs, professional development and funding initiatives that contribute to building the next generation of transportation professionals.
