Community engagement initiatives can strengthen relationships between transportation organizations, engineering firms and the communities they serve. STV recently sponsored and participated in BART’s 2026 Employee Golf Tournament, with proceeds supporting the transit agency’s annual holiday toy drive.
The tournament brought together BART employees and industry partners for an event supporting the holiday toy drive. Christina Grossenbacher, an STV project manager, represented STV during the event alongside BART and partner representatives.
The event provided an opportunity for participants connected to BART’s transportation programs to engage outside their regular project activities while contributing to a community-focused initiative.
STV’s relationship with BART extends across multiple transportation infrastructure activities. The organization has supported initiatives involving traction power improvements, station modernization, accessibility upgrades, systems modernization and engineering services throughout the Bay Area transit network.
STV has also participated in station enhancement and infrastructure improvement work serving BART riders across the region.
Community initiatives connected to major transportation agencies provide engineering and construction organizations with opportunities to maintain relationships beyond individual projects. For infrastructure stakeholders, these activities can complement ongoing collaboration across transit modernization, station improvements and other public transportation programs.
