Utility-scale renewable energy construction continues to expand across the United States, with contractors increasing their role in delivering large-scale solar generation projects. Sukut Construction has been recognized among the nation's leading solar builders after securing a place in the top 10 of the 2026 Solar Power World Top Solar Contractors rankings.
Sukut Construction ranked No. 9 nationally on the 2026 list, climbing from No. 22 in the previous year's rankings.
The annual ranking evaluates contractors, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, developers, installers, and electrical subcontractors based on the amount of solar generating capacity installed during the prior year.
According to the published results, Sukut completed projects totaling 1,299 megawatts (1,299,000 kilowatts) of installed solar capacity during 2025, placing the company among the country's largest utility-scale solar contractors.
The recognition marks Sukut's second consecutive year on the national list.
Sukut continues to deliver construction services for utility-scale renewable energy developments throughout the western United States.
The company's renewable energy capabilities include site preparation, earthwork, civil infrastructure, balance-of-plant construction, mechanical installation, module installation, and support for battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
Its work spans multiple phases of renewable energy development, helping project owners construct large-scale clean energy facilities designed to strengthen grid capacity and expand renewable generation.
The 2026 rankings also coincide with the 15th anniversary of the Solar Power World Top Solar Contractors program, which recognizes firms contributing to solar deployment across the United States.
For construction owners, developers, and energy contractors, contractor rankings provide insight into firms with proven experience delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. As utilities and independent power producers continue investing in solar generation and energy storage, contractors with demonstrated utility-scale expertise are expected to remain in strong demand.
Sukut's improved national ranking reflects continued activity in renewable energy construction, a market that remains one of the fastest-growing segments of the U.S. infrastructure and power sectors.
