Sundt Strengthens Industrial Leadership Team

Sundt Construction has promoted longtime mining and industrial construction leader Brian Arrington to vice president within its Heavy Industrial & Mining Group, reinforcing the contractor’s leadership capacity in one of the construction industry's most specialized sectors.

In his new role, Arrington will work closely with clients and project teams on large-scale industrial developments, including process facilities, mining infrastructure upgrades and modernization programs designed to improve operational performance.

The promotion comes as mining operators and industrial owners continue investing in facility improvements, production efficiency initiatives and infrastructure renewal projects across the United States.

Extensive Experience in Mining Construction

Arrington brings nearly three decades of industry experience, including more than 20 years overseeing complex mining construction projects nationwide.

His career has included leadership responsibilities across all phases of project delivery, from preconstruction planning and engineering coordination through commissioning and startup activities.

That experience has positioned him to manage technically demanding projects that require careful integration with active industrial operations while maintaining safety, schedule and production objectives.

Supporting Modernization and Operational Improvements

Beyond large capital projects, Arrington has worked on infrastructure enhancements and process improvement initiatives for mining operators, particularly throughout Arizona, one of the country's most significant mining regions.

Industrial owners continue to prioritize modernization investments aimed at increasing efficiency, extending asset life and improving operational reliability. These projects often require contractors with deep sector knowledge and experience working within active industrial environments.

Growing Demand for Specialized Industrial Expertise

Mining and heavy industrial construction remains a highly specialized market that demands expertise in complex mechanical systems, processing facilities, material handling infrastructure and operational integration.

As commodity producers invest in facility upgrades and expansion projects, contractors are increasingly focused on strengthening leadership teams with professionals who understand both construction execution and industrial operations.

Executives with extensive field experience can help owners navigate project risks, coordinate stakeholders and maintain productivity throughout construction activities.

Industry Involvement Supports Sector Growth

Arrington's service on the Arizona Mining Association Board of Directors further connects him with key industry stakeholders and evolving priorities within the mining sector.

Industry collaboration continues to play an important role as mining companies address challenges related to infrastructure, workforce development, sustainability initiatives and long-term operational planning.
