Six Central Texas nonprofit organizations will receive a combined $32,000 in grants from the Sundt Foundation to support community programs in Austin and the San Antonio area.
The grants were awarded through the foundation’s quarterly application and review process, which is led by Sundt employee-owners.
Three Austin nonprofits received a combined $16,000 in funding.
Austin Dog Alliance received $5,000 for service and therapy dog programs serving veterans, students, seniors and other community members. Austin Pets Alive! received $6,000 for adoption and foster programs supporting animals at risk of euthanasia.
Mobile Loaves & Fishes received $5,000 to provide food, clothing, housing and other resources for people experiencing homelessness.
Three organizations serving the San Antonio area also received a total of $16,000.
Bihl Haus Arts received $5,000 for free arts programming serving older adults, veterans and neurodivergent adults. Children Matter the Most Family Life Center received $6,000 to support children and families experiencing crises.
Elf Louise received $5,000 to help provide Christmas gifts to underserved children throughout Bexar County.
The latest grants are part of Sundt’s broader corporate giving efforts through the Sundt Foundation and other programs. Sundt has set a goal of contributing $65 million to nonprofit organizations nationwide by 2035.
For communities where major construction companies operate, corporate giving programs can provide additional funding for nonprofit organizations delivering social services, workforce support and community programs.
The foundation’s quarterly grant process also gives local Sundt employee-owners a role in reviewing organizations and directing funding toward community needs.
