Sundt Construction has appointed Madhu Reddy as design manager for its Transportation Group, adding an experienced transportation engineer and project leader to its Arizona operations.
Based in Tempe, Reddy will provide technical guidance to internal teams and external consultants throughout the design and construction phases of transportation projects. His responsibilities will include supporting project delivery and coordinating technical requirements across design and construction activities.
Reddy joins Sundt with more than two decades of experience in transportation engineering, design and program management. Before joining Sundt, he spent more than eight years with TYLin, where he led design and program management efforts on major infrastructure projects.
His previous work includes the Arizona Department of Transportation's $700 million I-10 Broadway Curve design-build project, San Francisco International Airport's $11 billion capital improvement plan and the $300 million Los Angeles International Airport enabling project.
Reddy also spent more than 15 years with the Arizona Department of Transportation in engineering and leadership positions. During that time, he worked on major infrastructure initiatives including Loop 303 construction and improvements to I-17.
At Sundt, Reddy will work with project teams and outside consultants to provide technical leadership during project development and construction. His background in design-build delivery and Arizona transportation infrastructure will support the company's transportation project work.
Reddy holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Mysore in India, a master's degree in civil engineering and an Executive MBA from Arizona State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds DBIA Professional Certification.
The appointment expands Sundt's transportation leadership capabilities as the contractor continues work across transportation and infrastructure markets in the Southwest.
