Recognition for engineering excellence highlights projects that demonstrate effective planning, redevelopment and public infrastructure delivery. T&M Associates has received two Distinguished Engineering Awards from the New Jersey Alliance for Action for projects that advance community redevelopment and municipal services in New Jersey.
One of the recognized projects is The Edison Residential development in Roselle, where T&M Associates is providing civil engineering, landscape architecture and permitting services.
The mixed-use development includes 195 residential units along with retail space, community amenities and streetscape improvements. The project is part of the St. Georges Avenue revitalization effort and redevelops a former brownfield property for residential and commercial use.
The second award recognizes the Robbinsville Municipal Building, Courts and Police Facility project, which repurposed a vacant commercial office building into a consolidated civic complex serving Robbinsville Township and Hightstown Borough.
For the adaptive reuse project, T&M Associates delivered engineering, program management, design management and cost estimating services to support planning and project execution.
Both projects demonstrate different approaches to community investment through redevelopment.
The Roselle development converts previously underutilized land into housing and commercial space while improving the surrounding streetscape. The Robbinsville project extends the life of an existing commercial structure by adapting it to accommodate municipal offices, court functions and police operations rather than constructing an entirely new facility.
Recognition through the Distinguished Engineering Awards underscores the growing role of redevelopment and adaptive reuse in New Jersey's construction market.
