The project, known as Westside Markets of Greensboro Village, will be located at the intersection of Nashville Pike and Green Lea Boulevard. The development is being led by CHM LLC in partnership with Green & Little LP.

Developers say the new retail center will occupy roughly 30 acres and is expected to become a major commercial destination for residents in Gallatin and surrounding areas.

Major Retail Anchors and Commercial Space Planned

The development will feature a 130,000-square-foot Target store as its primary anchor tenant. In addition, the project will include a 16,000-square-foot location for PetSmart along with approximately 14,000 square feet of additional retail shop space.

Plans also call for three outparcel sites that will be reserved for restaurants or service-oriented businesses, which could bring additional dining and convenience options to the area.

Construction on the project is scheduled to begin immediately, with developers targeting July 2027 for the grand opening of the Target store.

Developers See Strong Growth in the Gallatin Market

Project leaders say the investment reflects continued confidence in Gallatin’s rapid population and economic growth.

“This project reflects our continued confidence in the Gallatin market and the broader Middle Tennessee region,” said Mike McGuffin. “We are proud to partner with both Target Corporation and Green & Little, LP to deliver a best-in-class retail destination that will serve this growing community for years to come.”

Developers believe the project will help support Gallatin’s expanding residential communities by providing nearby shopping options and modern retail facilities.

The project represents a collaboration between experienced development and investment teams working together to bring new commercial infrastructure to the region.

“This project reflects the value of a trusted partnership and a shared vision for quality development,” said Anderson Green. “We’re pleased to work alongside an experienced team to bring this development to the community.”

Officials say additional retail tenants and restaurants will be announced as leasing agreements are finalized.

Retail Growth Reflects Middle Tennessee Expansion

The Gallatin development is part of a broader trend of retail expansion across Middle Tennessee, where population growth and suburban development have fueled demand for new commercial centers.

Large retail anchors such as Target often act as catalysts for surrounding businesses, attracting additional stores, restaurants and service providers to nearby properties.

Once completed, the Westside Markets development is expected to serve as a key retail hub for Gallatin residents while supporting job creation and economic activity across the region.
