Large-scale sports venue projects are increasingly using dedicated experience centers to support premium seating sales and stakeholder engagement before construction begins. Tepper Sports & Entertainment (TSE) has opened the Bank of America Stadium Experience Center in Charlotte as part of the organization's $1.3 billion modernization program for Bank of America Stadium.

Interactive Facility Supports Stadium Redevelopment

Located across from Bank of America Stadium in Uptown Charlotte, the nearly 16,000-square-foot experience center will serve as the primary sales and engagement hub throughout the renovation program.

The facility incorporates interactive digital technologies, virtual stadium tours, holographic presentations, immersive visualization systems, and large-scale site displays that allow visitors to explore planned improvements before construction is completed.

The space also includes full-scale replicas of premium seating areas, hospitality spaces, and luxury suites, enabling prospective buyers to experience premium amenities while project development continues.

The experience center was designed by Advent and will remain operational until renovation work concludes.

Construction Program Advances Toward 2030 Completion

The Bank of America Stadium renovation represents a $1.3 billion capital investment, including an additional $500 million commitment from Tepper Sports & Entertainment.

The project team includes HOK as architect, Clark Construction and D.A. Everett as construction partners, and CAA Icon serving as the owner's representative.

Construction activities affecting fans are expected to begin in early 2027, while the full stadium modernization program is scheduled for completion in 2030.

The renovated venue will continue to serve as the home stadium for the NFL's Carolina Panthers and Major League Soccer's Charlotte FC.

Why It Matters

For construction owners, sports venue developers, and contractors, dedicated experience centers have become an increasingly common component of major stadium and arena developments. These facilities help project teams engage premium customers, demonstrate future design concepts, and generate commercial revenue before construction is complete.

As stadium modernization projects continue across North America, digital visualization technology, immersive virtual environments, and full-scale space mockups are playing a larger role in project marketing and stakeholder engagement, complementing traditional design and construction delivery.
