
OLATHE, Kan. — August 19, 2026 — The Terracon Foundation has awarded more than $337,000 in grants and scholarships to 20 universities and 23 nonprofit organizations across the United States, supporting education, community programs and initiatives connected to the built and natural environment.
The university awards support institutions across the country, including Appalachian State University, Arizona State University, Auburn University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Tennessee Tech University, Texas State University and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
The foundation said its giving priorities include education and programs aligned with the built and natural environment. The awards also help strengthen the pipeline of students entering engineering and related technical fields.
The foundation distributed an additional $85,250 to 23 nonprofit organizations. The recipients represent a range of community initiatives, including workforce development, environmental programs, education and social services.
Among the organizations receiving support are Athens Area Women in Construction, Fontenelle Forest, Inclusion Connections, SARSEF-Southern Arizona Research Science and Engineering Foundation and Sustain Charlotte.
Terracon said its employee-owners participate in identifying organizations and programs that are important to their communities.
