AUSTIN, Texas, May 6, 2025 — The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) has officially announced the finalists for the 2025 Star Awards, marking a banner year for the prestigious recognition program. According to TAB, this year’s competition received a record-breaking 950 entries across 189 elite categories, showcasing the exceptional caliber of talent and innovation shaping Texas’ residential construction industry.

“The 2025 Star Awards entries reflect the innovation, skill, and dedication driving residential construction across Texas. From custom builders and remodelers to designers and marketing professionals, the level of talent in our industry continues to set the bar high. Earning a spot as a finalist among such accomplished peers is a true achievement—congratulations to all!” the association said in its announcement.
First launched in 1992, the Star Awards have become the premier statewide program recognizing excellence in homebuilding, remodeling, design, and related fields. Each year, a panel of out-of-state judges is tasked with the challenge of evaluating submissions from top professionals across Texas. For 2025, judges faced a particularly competitive field, reflecting a dynamic market where design innovation, craftsmanship, and marketing ingenuity continue to elevate the housing industry.
This year’s winners will be revealed on July 30, during an in-person awards celebration held on the final day of the Sunbelt Builders Show™ at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas. The evening will feature a reception, dinner, and awards presentation, with all finalists invited to attend. Those who earn top honors will receive their trophies during the live event.
