Trace Creek Appoints Samuel Curry as Media Director

Trace Creek Construction has announced the appointment of Samuel Curry as its new Media Director, a move the company says will elevate its visual storytelling and brand presence. Known for blending creativity, innovation, and technical skill, Curry brings an impressive background in high-level film production, live event coverage, and commercial media.

A native of London, Kentucky, Curry graduated from South Laurel High School in 2021 before pursuing a degree in Media Communications at Asbury University. During his time there, he was involved in three major film projects, most notably Love at First Sight—the largest production in the university’s history. The project garnered multiple awards, including “Audience Choice,” “Best Make-up and Costume,” and a student Emmy for Best Directing in the Southern Ohio region.

In 2024, Curry’s talents took him to the international stage when he was selected to assist at the Paris Olympics. Serving as both a camera operator and director’s assistant for the sharpshooting competition in Châteauroux, France, he gained hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure global sports environment.

Outside of his role at Trace Creek, Curry has built a notable freelance portfolio, collaborating with brands and personalities such as Subaru Motorsports, Vermont Sportscar, motorsports icon Travis Pastrana, and rally driver Brandon Semenuk. His work is characterized by a dynamic, high-energy style, particularly suited for projects that demand quick adaptability and precision.

“Samuel’s diverse experience across both commercial and cinematic landscapes gives us a fresh creative edge,” said a Trace Creek spokesperson. “We are confident his vision will help tell the story of our projects and people in a way that resonates deeply with clients and communities.”

Curry’s appointment reflects Trace Creek’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its communications strategy. The company views enhanced media presence as a key part of its growth, particularly as construction firms increasingly rely on visual content to showcase craftsmanship, safety standards, and community engagement.

With his unique background, Curry is expected to lead a broad range of initiatives, from documenting large-scale construction projects to producing promotional campaigns and social media content that highlight Trace Creek’s work and values. His blend of artistry and technical know-how positions him to bridge traditional construction narratives with modern digital storytelling techniques.

“I’m excited to join Trace Creek and bring my skills into an industry that builds not just structures, but legacies,” Curry said. “I look forward to using film and media to capture the incredible work happening here every day.”

Industry observers note that construction companies are increasingly investing in media directors to stand out in a competitive market, and Trace Creek’s hire underscores that trend. By bringing on someone with Olympic-level production experience and brand collaborations across motorsports and action sports, the company is signaling a commitment to high-quality, impactful storytelling.
