WINCHESTER, Va. — Trex Company has been named one of America’s Most Trustworthy Companies for 2026 by Newsweek, earning a top ranking in the construction category and reinforcing its reputation for reliability and corporate transparency.

The company ranked No. 2 among construction-related firms included on the annual list, which evaluates trust among customers, employees and investors. The recognition places Trex among 700 companies across 23 industries evaluated through independent research conducted in partnership with Statista Inc..
Trex is the only decking manufacturer included in the construction category rankings, underscoring its leadership position in the outdoor living products sector.
The Newsweek rankings are based on a survey of 25,000 U.S. residents, who submitted more than 101,000 company evaluations. Participants assessed organizations across key trust metrics, including product quality, corporate values, workplace practices and long-term investment potential.
The analysis also incorporated social listening data, evaluating public sentiment from news coverage, social media and other online platforms.
“At Trex, trust is at the core of everything we do, from the way we design and manufacture our products to how we support our customers, partners and employees,” said Bryan Fairbanks, president and CEO of Trex Company. “Being recognized by Newsweek as one of the most trustworthy companies in America is a meaningful validation of our commitment to integrity, consistency and long-term performance.”
The latest recognition builds on Trex’s previous honors, including being named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Most Responsible Companies in 2024 and earning the title of America’s Most Trusted Outdoor Decking brand for six consecutive years.
Trex, headquartered in Winchester, Virginia, has spent more than three decades developing composite decking and railing products designed as sustainable alternatives to traditional wood materials.
The company maintains a broad distribution network, with products sold through more than 6,700 retail outlets across six continents. Its portfolio has expanded through licensing agreements to include complementary outdoor living products such as lighting, pergolas, fencing and outdoor furniture.
Company leadership emphasized that maintaining stakeholder trust requires continuous improvement and accountability across operations.
“Earning the trust of our stakeholders requires a continuous focus on accountability, innovation and doing what’s right,” Fairbanks added. “We are proud to be recognized alongside other leading organizations and remain committed to building on this foundation of trust for years to come.”
Industry analysts note that recognition tied to trust and corporate responsibility has become increasingly important for construction and building product companies, particularly as investors and customers place greater emphasis on environmental, social and governance performance.
Trex’s consistent recognition across trust, sustainability and product quality rankings positions the company as a leading player in the competitive building materials market, especially as demand grows for durable and low-maintenance outdoor living solutions.
