“Turner is committed to equipping our people with the tools, skills, and confidence to solve challenges and transform how they work,” said Jim Barrett, Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. “The summit provided attendees with a playbook to amplify individual impact, advance company growth, and drive meaningful progress across the industry.”

A Deep Dive Into AI-Powered Construction

This year’s event elevated Turner’s growing leadership in artificial intelligence. After guided learning sessions with experts from OpenAI, teams collaborated during the company’s largest-ever AI agent build session—creating more than 100 custom solutions for real project needs, including automated contract reviews and enhanced site safety planning.

Turner already has AI embedded across its operations—from visual safety analytics and digital production tracking to autonomous drones and decision-support tools that reduce manual workloads. These technologies are creating new pathways to improve delivery certainty, shorten schedules, strengthen safety, and unlock time for more creative, value-driven problem solving.

During the Innovation Circuit, attendees explored ten hands-on experience stations—showcasing AI-enabled insights, productivity tools, and new methods that bring efficiency directly into field operations.

Turner has built an industry-leading partnership with OpenAI through companywide access to ChatGPT Enterprise. This ensures employees—from the field to the boardroom—can apply generative AI to everyday tasks. So far, these initiatives have saved tens of thousands of labor hours while encouraging teams to learn, innovate, and push ideas forward faster.

Inspiration from Top Global Innovators

The Summit also featured a slate of respected voices from across technology, media, and leadership, including Cassie Kozyrkov, Fred Mills, Mike Sewell, Alex Willis, Robbie Bach, and NFL legend Mike Singletary. Each challenged attendees to think differently about the impact construction professionals can make when equipped with the right tools and mindset.

Innovation Through People

The core message of the Summit was clear: digital transformation succeeds when people can confidently adopt new solutions. “Our people are constantly challenging what’s possible and shaping the next generation of construction solutions,” said Barrett. “As we look ahead, innovation and AI will continue to expand what our people can achieve, helping us build smarter, connect globally, and lead transformation in our industry.”

Turner’s continuous investment in technology and talent is helping redefine how infrastructure is delivered while strengthening global collaboration and opportunities for future builders. The company remains committed to creating a culture where innovation becomes part of everyday project execution—powering progress for teams, clients, and communities.
