Major hospitality construction projects continue to generate opportunities for contractors as owners invest in expanding gaming destinations and enhancing guest amenities. The latest award adds another large-scale renovation and expansion project to Oklahoma's hospitality construction pipeline while increasing Tutor Perini Corporation's future backlog.
Tutor Perini Building Corp., a subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corporation, has been selected by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma to deliver a $140 million renovation and expansion of the Choctaw Casino & Resort in Pocola, Oklahoma.
The construction program includes extensive interior and exterior improvements to the existing hotel and casino. Planned upgrades also cover dining facilities and gaming areas as part of the broader modernization effort.
In addition to renovating existing facilities, the project calls for construction of a new adjacent seven-story hotel tower with 130 guest rooms. The expansion will also include a spa, fitness center and pool complex designed to increase the property's lodging and recreational capacity.
Tutor Perini Building Corp. has supported the project through preconstruction activities since 2025. Field construction is expected to begin during the third quarter of 2026.
According to the announcement, the contract's value will be incorporated into Tutor Perini Corporation's backlog in stages as project design milestones are completed and subsequent construction phases receive authorization.
