West Side Tractor has officially launched construction on its new Indiana headquarters, marking a major milestone for the John Deere construction equipment dealer as it expands its footprint across the Midwest.

The new Indianapolis facility—planned at more than 60,000 square feet—will serve as the company’s flagship location in the state, positioned on a 20-acre site off Interstate 74 near the Post Road exit. The project broke ground as the company celebrated its 15th year of operations in Indiana.

Designed to significantly enhance capacity, the new headquarters will triple the service capability of West Side Tractor’s existing Indianapolis store. In addition to sales, rentals, parts and service, the campus will also house West Side Rents, the dealership’s dedicated rental division, consolidating critical functions to streamline customer support and equipment access.

“As a family business, we take great pride in building a lasting legacy, and seeing this long-term goal come to life is truly special,” said Brian Benck, senior vice president of sales and third-generation owner of West Side Tractor.

The new headquarters adds to a decade of rapid expansion for the company. Over the past several years, West Side has opened full-service facilities in Bloomington and Terre Haute and completed a comprehensive renovation of its Lafayette operation earlier this year. The Indianapolis project is expected to strengthen its regional presence and elevate dealer support for John Deere equipment customers across Indiana.

Komatsu Expands Its Alberta Distribution Capabilities

Komatsu is doubling the size of its Edmonton, Alberta, parts depot, transitioning it into a full-service distribution center aimed at improving supply chain performance for Western Canadian customers.

The expanded 135,000-square-foot facility—expected to be fully operational in early 2026—will enable faster distribution of high-demand parts with 24-hour delivery to dealers across western Canada. The upgraded center will also integrate into Komatsu’s global warehouse management system and feature new automation, expanded staffing and enhanced customer support technologies.

Komatsu says the investment will make the Edmonton depot a key hub within its North American logistics network, helping reduce lead times and improve equipment uptime for contractors.
