The annual awards program celebrates contractors whose work demonstrates superior installation quality and the ability to dramatically enhance residential and commercial properties. This year’s honorees include five residential projects and two commercial projects from across the United States, reflecting the versatility and performance of DaVinci Roofscapes products in diverse architectural settings.
Among the residential recipients, projects ranged from historic restorations to contemporary waterfront homes. In Stillwater, Minnesota, Classic Construction & Consulting replaced an aging, hail-damaged cedar roof on a lakefront property with a DaVinci Multi-Width Shake roof in Aged Cedar, resulting in a reported 50% reduction in homeowners’ insurance rates.
In Fontana, California, Final Touch Construction & Design completed a complex installation integrating DaVinci Multi-Width Slate tiles with a new solar panel system. The blend of Castle Gray and European-colored tiles provided visual depth while maintaining low maintenance for the coastal home.
Additional residential honorees include Nitro Roofing and Construction in Columbus, Ohio, which restored an 1890 Victorian-style home using nearly 5,000 custom Inspire® Slate tiles, and Preferred Exterior in New Hyde Park, New York, which installed DaVinci Single-Width Slate on a newly constructed estate featuring multiple structures. Washington Roofing & Construction in Washington, Missouri, was also recognized for re-roofing a large residential property following hail damage, accommodating steep roof pitches and multiple accessory buildings.
Two commercial projects earned top honors for their complexity and scale. Burns & Scalo of Pittsburgh replaced the deteriorating roof on the administration building at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania, using DaVinci Single-Width Slate in a European color, preserving the historic character of the 1897 structure.
In Nebraska, Weatherguard, Inc. (THE ROOFEREES) completed the re-roofing of the Peter Kiewit Lodge at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. The project involved the state’s largest pitched-roof building and featured DaVinci Single-Width Shake in a custom Forest Green color, restoring a landmark facility that includes guest rooms, dining, and meeting spaces.
