Procore's Groundbreak returns to Orlando on October 20–22, 2026, and this year the story is AI that does the work, not just answers questions. Under the banner "Build and win together in the AI era," the conference lands at the Orange County Convention Center with a main program on October 21–22, a Groundbreak Bash at Universal Islands of Adventure, and nine Groundbreaker Awards finalists — including e2 Companies, the only owner on the shortlist.
For Construction owners, the timing matters. Procore spent 2026 turning its AI roadmap into products you can buy, and Groundbreak is where the industry will see how those tools perform on real projects. Here is what to expect, and what to ask while you are there.
Groundbreak 2026 is the first conference since Procore bought Datagrid, and the agent strategy built on that deal will dominate the main stage. Procore says more announcements are still to come, so expect the keynote to build on three moves it made this year.
January: the Datagrid acquisition. Procore closed its purchase of Datagrid, a construction-focused AI agent platform, in January 2026. Datagrid CEO Thiago da Costa joined Procore to lead AI and data strategy. Datagrid stays platform-agnostic, connecting to systems such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Trimble, and Hilti (Verdantix).
May: agents built into Procore. On May 21, Procore embedded Datagrid's intelligence directly into its platform. The agents reason across drawings, specs, and photos, and they can take actions: updating records, generating documents, and coordinating workflows. Early agents search project documents, review submittals, draft daily logs, evaluate RFIs, and flag contract risk, with a person reviewing the work before it is finalized.
July: Digital Coworker packages go on sale. Procore AI is now sold in three tiers, managed by account admins project by project.
What to watch in Orlando. Look for customer proof, not demos: which agents are in daily use, how much review time they really save, and how pricing scales across a portfolio. Construction Owners should also press on data access, who can see what an agent reads, and whether agents can act on data held in non-Procore systems.

The Groundbreak Bash takes over Universal Islands of Adventure on the evening of October 22, closing out the main program. Ticket holders get the park's attractions, themed islands, and dining for a private evening with the industry.
The Bash is included in the Full Conference Pass, so there is no separate ticket to buy. Treat it as more than a party: two days of hallway conversations tend to turn into real introductions here. Keep the evening free, and set up the meetings you want before you land.
Procore has named nine finalists across three categories for the 2026 Groundbreaker Awards, with winners revealed at Groundbreak. The categories have been reshaped around data and AI, and e2 Companies is the only owner on the shortlist.
Building for Tomorrow honors data-driven, forward-looking delivery. Empowering the Industry recognizes teams that used connected, AI-powered tools to break through. Innovation Intelligence rounds out the field.
Two names carry over from 2025: RSGx was a Project of the Year finalist for Cross River Rail, and Haskell's Hamzah Shanbari was up for Groundbreaker of the Year (2025 archive). For owners, e2 Companies is the one to follow — its result will signal how much the owner side is shaping construction's AI story.
Construction Owners get the most from Groundbreak by arriving with questions for their contractors and vendors, not just a session list. Three worth asking:
Registration and the full agenda are at procore.com/groundbreak. Cancellations and transfers close on September 25, 2026.
