Blue Crane Homes Expands Luxury Coastal Construction Services to Anna Maria Island

Blue Crane Homes has expanded its custom homebuilding operations to Florida’s Anna Maria Island, bringing its luxury coastal construction services to the communities of Anna Maria, Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach.
The Tampa-based builder announced the expansion as demand continues to rise for upscale waterfront housing across Florida’s Gulf Coast. The company specializes in semi-custom and fully custom homes designed for coastal living, with a focus on resilient construction methods, detailed craftsmanship and design tailored to beachfront environments.
As part of the Ramos family of companies, Blue Crane Homes said the expansion marks another step in its continued growth throughout the Southeast construction market.
Flagship Holmes Beach Project Underway
Blue Crane Homes has already begun preparations for its first Anna Maria Island project, a custom waterfront residence at 520 74th Street in Holmes Beach. The home will also serve as the company’s future showcase property.
According to the company, the residence will feature 4,897 square feet of heated living space on a 14,318-square-foot homesite. The project is designed to combine elevated coastal architecture with resort-style outdoor amenities suited for waterfront living.
Guardian Construction Consultants served as the owner’s representative for the project, overseeing planning, permitting, budgeting and vendor coordination throughout the early development process.
The builder is also collaborating with several regional design and construction partners for the Holmes Beach residence, including Beacon Home Design, Connelly & Co., Plate & Dish Kitchen Design Center, Ferguson/Kohler, Olympia Stone & Quartz and Hickory Chair.
“We are excited to expand into Anna Maria Island and serve homeowners throughout Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach,” said Jaime Miller, president of Blue Crane Homes. “Our goal is to create homes that feel timeless, intentional, and specifically designed for the way our clients want to live.”
Coastal Design Focus Shapes Expansion
Project leaders said the Holmes Beach residence was designed to reflect the architectural traditions commonly associated with Florida’s Gulf Coast communities.
“This home was designed around one of the wider waterfront lots on Holmes Beach, giving us a rare opportunity to create an elevation that felt more open, balanced, and connected to the water,” said AJ Barnard, president of Beacon Home Design.
Design elements for the property draw inspiration from British West Indies architecture and traditional Florida coastal construction styles, according to the project team.
“We wanted the home to feel authentic to Anna Maria Island, drawing inspiration from British West Indies architecture and Florida’s coastal building traditions,” said Kaley Connelly, principal and owner of Connelly & Co. “Every element was chosen not only for how it looks, but how it lives.”
Blue Crane Homes said its approach emphasizes collaboration throughout planning, design and construction, with a focus on project management and long-term durability in coastal environments.
The company is part of the broader Ramos family of companies, whose construction operations date back to 1956 and include residential and commercial projects across the Southeast United States.
