Catamount Constructors has appointed Joe Byrne as a project executive, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its build-to-rent and multifamily construction portfolio.
Based in Metro Atlanta, Byrne brings 23 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in multifamily development. Most recently, he served as senior project manager at Mill Creek Residential Trust, where he led projects from preconstruction through turnover, delivering apartment communities across the region.
Over the past decade, Byrne has overseen nearly 1,000 residential units valued at more than $280 million, managing projects from early planning through completion. His portfolio includes several high-profile developments, such as Hanover West Peachtree, Modera Decatur and Modera Parkside. Throughout his career, Byrne has built a reputation for cultivating long-term relationships with subcontractors and fostering project teams centered on accountability, trust and consistent execution.

In his new role, Byrne will collaborate closely with Catamount’s internal teams, clients and project partners to support continued growth in the build-to-rent sector. His responsibilities will include driving project quality, maintaining schedule certainty and delivering long-term value across Catamount’s expanding residential pipeline.
Byrne holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a licensed General Contractor. His leadership approach aligns with Catamount’s employee-owned culture, emphasizing collaboration, ownership and long-term project performance.
