Ediphi and Togal.AI Integration Enhances AI Quantity Takeoff in Preconstruction

Ediphi, Togal.AI Launch Native Integration to Streamline AI-Powered Quantity Takeoff in Preconstruction

BOSTON — Ediphi, a cloud-based preconstruction platform, has announced a native integration with Togal.AI, an artificial intelligence-powered quantity takeoff solution, aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy across estimating workflows. The companies said the integration directly connects Togal’s takeoff data into Ediphi’s estimating environment, eliminating the need for manual data transfers that have historically slowed preconstruction processes.

Stevens Construction has become the first customer to activate the integration, with deployment currently underway. The partnership is expected to address long-standing inefficiencies tied to disconnected systems used by contractors during early project phases.

Closing a Long-Standing Gap in Preconstruction

Quantity takeoff has long been considered one of the most fragmented steps in construction preconstruction. Even with modern digital tools, teams often rely on spreadsheets or manual re-entry to transfer quantities into estimating systems. This approach can introduce errors, create version control challenges and extend project timelines.

The new integration seeks to resolve those issues by embedding Togal’s takeoff capabilities directly into Ediphi’s “Last Mile Excel” environment. Estimators can now connect to project drawings, import quantities and map them automatically to Unit Price Catalog (UPC) line items, complete with work breakdown structure and default pricing configurations.

In addition, the system enables real-time updates. When quantities change in Togal, users receive notifications and can choose whether to accept or defer updates. Each change is tracked through a detailed audit trail, improving transparency and accountability throughout the estimating process.

“We’re excited to partner with Ediphi to bring a modern, web-based estimating experience to our shared customers. This integration reflects our commitment to serving ENR leaders with tools that are not only powerful but built for how teams work today,” said Patrick Murphy, founder and CEO of Togal.

“By connecting Ediphi and Togal, users can maintain seamless collaboration with their teams across both platforms—ensuring continuity from estimating through takeoff without disruption. Together, we’re doubling down on innovation in estimating and delivering a solution that truly meets the evolving needs of the industry.”

Integration Designed for Workflow Efficiency

The integration is accessible directly within Ediphi’s existing Excel-based interface, allowing estimators to manage takeoff and estimating tasks without switching platforms. Users can review quantity classifications, identify new or updated items and import selected data directly into project estimates.

To support seamless functionality, Ediphi and Togal configured each customer’s UPC within the Togal system, ensuring that quantity classifications align correctly with estimating line items from the outset.

“Quantity takeoff integration has been one of the most consistent gaps our customers have asked us to close,” said Dustin DeVan, CEO and co-founder of Ediphi. “This integration with Togal does more than move numbers from one tool to another—it connects takeoff directly to the estimating database, so quantities arrive with pricing context and can be tracked as the design evolves. That’s a fundamentally different workflow than what most teams are using today.”

Stevens Construction, an early adopter of both platforms, participated in initial demonstrations and quickly moved to implement the solution.

"We're using the best estimating software with Ediphi and the best takeoff software with Togal.ai," said Evan Lopes, estimator at Stevens Construction.

Ediphi and Togal plan to showcase the integration at the Advancing Preconstruction conference in early May, where attendees will be able to view live demonstrations of the combined workflow and learn how it can be implemented in their organizations.
