Haydon Corporation has expanded its high-visibility H-BLOCK® end cap design to its Mini and Mega rooftop support products, extending a feature first introduced to the Standard H-BLOCK line in 2025. The move aims to create a consistent design across the company’s rooftop support portfolio while improving safety and visibility on construction jobsites.
The Wayne, New Jersey-based manufacturer said the update will maintain the same material specifications, load ratings and performance standards contractors already rely on, while making rooftop installations easier to identify and manage in busy construction environments.
Company Extends High-Visibility Design Across Product Line
The enhanced design improves visibility on rooftops where contractors often install HVAC systems, conduit, piping, solar racking and other mechanical components. By standardizing the high-visibility end cap design across multiple product sizes, Haydon aims to provide a unified system for contractors working across different project types.
The H-BLOCK® Mini and Mega rooftop supports will continue to be manufactured in the United States using 100% recycled rubber and remain compatible with existing infrastructure installations.
“Consistency across the product line matters to our partners,” said Kate Schuster, Vice President, Commercial at Haydon. “By extending the high-visibility cap design to Mini and Mega blocks, we’re reinforcing our commitment to jobsite safety, performance reliability, and continuous improvement without disrupting the specs our customers depend on. At the end of the day, these enhancements are about making work on the roof safer, faster, and more predictable for the crews who rely on our products every day.”
The company noted that maintaining compatibility with existing installations was a key priority while rolling out the enhanced design.
Rooftop Supports Designed for Heavy Loads and Extreme Conditions
The expanded product line includes rooftop supports designed to handle a wide range of structural and mechanical loads.
The H-BLOCK® Mini supports offer up to 400 pounds of uniform load capacity, making them suitable for lighter rooftop systems such as conduit runs and smaller mechanical components.
Meanwhile, H-BLOCK® Mega supports can handle up to 7,500 pounds of uniform load capacity, supporting heavier rooftop equipment including large HVAC systems, pipe racks and solar installations.
Both product lines are engineered to withstand demanding environmental conditions. According to the company, the supports are tested for extreme environments, including UV exposure and freeze-thaw performance down to -40°C.
The rooftop supports are also designed to be membrane safe, ensuring compatibility with most roofing materials and minimizing the risk of damage during installation.
Another key feature of the H-BLOCK systems is their pre-assembled design, which allows contractors to install rooftop supports quickly without penetrating the roof surface. This reduces installation time while helping maintain roofing integrity.
Haydon said the enhanced H-BLOCK® Mini products will begin shipping in March 2026, while the Mega supports are expected to ship starting in May 2026 as existing inventory transitions to the updated design.
Compliance With U.S. Procurement and Sustainability Standards
Haydon’s H-BLOCK® rooftop support systems are designed to comply with several major federal procurement and sustainability standards.
These include the Buy American Act, the Build America, Buy America Act, and the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, making the products eligible for use on many federally funded construction projects.
Because the products are manufactured using recycled materials, they are also LEED certifiable, supporting sustainability goals for commercial and infrastructure construction projects.
Founded in 1956, Haydon Corporation manufactures metal framing systems, rooftop supports and baseboard heating solutions for commercial, residential, infrastructure and industrial construction markets. The company operates locations in California, New Jersey, Ohio and Texas, allowing it to serve contractors and distributors across the United States.
Haydon said the expansion of the H-BLOCK® product line reflects its ongoing commitment to innovation and product development while maintaining the durability and performance standards that contractors expect from its rooftop support systems.
