Trusted leader and executive team member takes on expanded responsibilities to help guide premier multifamily real estate company through significant growth phase
WELLINGTON, Fla.— The Bainbridge Companies (Bainbridge), a premier multifamily real estate company, promoted Brian Doppelt to President of the company. The promotion comes at a pivotal moment for Bainbridge, which is entering a period of significant growth as it approaches its 30th anniversary in 2027.
Recent milestones include the successful launch and closing of Bainbridge’s first multifamily acquisition fund and an expansion of its ground-up development and third-party property management businesses. In his new role, Doppelt will assume broader responsibilities across the organization and work closely with Chairman and CEO Richard Schechter, Executive Vice President and CFO Chris Phillips, and the executive leadership team to advance the company’s long-term vision.
Doppelt joined Bainbridge in 2016, becoming General Counsel in 2018, and has steadily grown into one of the company’s leaders. Over the course of his tenure, Doppelt has played a significant role in shaping corporate strategy, expanding Bainbridge’s investment management platform, supporting capital formation efforts, structuring and executing complex transactions, and participating on its various investment committees. He has been involved in many of the most significant initiatives across the company’s development, acquisitions, investment management, and operating businesses, contributing to more than $2 billion in transaction activity, including joint ventures, acquisitions, sales, and other capital raises.

Most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Doppelt oversaw Bainbridge’s legal department and risk management functions while also leading management and capital raising activities for the company’s fund management business. He is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and serves in a variety of charitable and community leadership roles, including as a Trustee of the Board of Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton, Fla.

Prior to joining Bainbridge, Doppelt was an attorney with a New York-based law firm, a prosecutor with the New York State Attorney General’s Office, and a law clerk to the Hon. Richard M. Berman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, and his B.A. from Colgate University.
