Construction companies joining industry associations often need to understand how training, networking and business-development programs can support their operations. ABC of Georgia is preparing a fall membership orientation to introduce new members and employees to the association’s available programs and events.
ABC of Georgia will hold its Membership Unpacked event from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the Gas South District Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, Georgia.
The session is intended for companies that have recently joined ABC of Georgia as well as employees who are new to existing member companies. The program will explain how members can participate in ABC of Georgia programs, events and other opportunities.
The orientation is structured to help participants become more familiar with the association and connect with other members.
The membership session will take place before ABC of Georgia’s Fall Meet & Greet the General Contractors at Gas South Arena. A break is scheduled between the two events, giving participants time to return to work or take a lunch break before the afternoon networking program begins.
Members who attend both the Membership Unpacked session and the general contractor meet-and-greet will receive a VIP ribbon providing front-of-line access during the afternoon event.
ABC of Georgia currently represents more than 375 local member companies across contractor, supplier, architect, engineer, developer and other construction-related categories.
For construction businesses, association events can provide access to industry contacts and information about training and business resources. ABC of Georgia’s membership orientation gives newer members a structured introduction to those opportunities while connecting them with other professionals in Georgia’s construction market.
