Construction investment and capital formation strategies continue to evolve as real estate companies seek broader access to institutional and advisor networks. In response to those market dynamics, Bonaventure has expanded its capital markets leadership team with a new executive appointment and an internal promotion aimed at strengthening national distribution capabilities.
The Alexandria, Virginia-based real estate investment and development firm named Michelle Moore as Head of National Accounts and promoted Kerry Peoples to Head of Capital Markets as part of an effort to broaden investor engagement and support continued growth initiatives.
Moore will be responsible for Bonaventure's distribution strategy across the independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor channels. Her duties include managing strategic platform relationships, overseeing due diligence engagement and supporting the distribution of the company's real estate investment offerings.
Based in Nashville, Moore will report to Peoples and work with Bonaventure's executive and capital markets teams to expand the firm's national presence among financial advisors and investment platforms.
Peoples, who previously served as Senior Vice President of Capital Markets, now oversees Bonaventure's capital formation strategy and investor relationships across the company's distribution network.
Both executives bring more than 25 years of experience in financial services and capital markets.
Moore's background includes national accounts management, alternative investment distribution and capital formation initiatives. Peoples has held senior leadership roles focused on investor engagement, alternative investments and real estate investment strategies.
As Head of Capital Markets, Peoples manages a six-person team comprised of internal and external wholesalers responsible for supporting Bonaventure's investor outreach efforts.
The leadership changes reflect Bonaventure's continued investment in its capital markets platform as competition for investment capital increases across the commercial real estate sector. Real estate firms have increasingly focused on expanding relationships with broker-dealers, RIAs and institutional investors to diversify funding sources and support future acquisitions and development activity.
Strengthening distribution and investor engagement capabilities can also provide developers and real estate operators with greater flexibility in raising capital for new projects and portfolio growth.
