Consigli Construction is applying advanced 3D modeling techniques during construction of Pomeroy Lodging's Yora Nordic Spa to plan utility installation, coordinate multiple trades and support excavation activities at the historic quarry site.

The digital workflow is helping project teams manage underground systems before installation begins, reducing conflicts and improving construction sequencing.

Digital Coordination for Underground Utilities

The 3D model is being used to coordinate thousands of feet of underground infrastructure serving pools, cold plunges, saunas, steam rooms and bathhouse facilities.

Project teams are integrating sanitary sewer, storm drainage, domestic water, fire protection, natural gas and electrical systems within the same digital environment. The model enables designers and contractors to identify potential utility conflicts, refine routing and coordinate installation sequencing before field work progresses.

It also supports planning for utility crossings beneath a central stream while verifying pool elevations, slope requirements and clearances around structural formwork.

Supporting Excavation and Site Preparation

In addition to utility coordination, the digital model informed excavation activities that required removal of approximately 10,000 cubic yards of rock.

The model was used to verify excavation depths, utility clearances and grading requirements, helping establish blasting limits and prepare the site for installation of the project's underground infrastructure network.
