The showcase coincides with Women in Construction Week, scheduled for March 1 to 7, and highlights professionals whose leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise are helping shape the future of the industry.

Each year, the Construction Champions program recognizes dozens of women across a range of career stages and roles, offering industry-wide visibility through Construction Dive’s website and newsletter. Editors are once again calling on industry professionals to help identify standout candidates by submitting nominations for themselves or colleagues.

Nomination categories include:

  • Rising Star
  • Up-and-Coming Leader
  • Mentor
  • Industry Veteran
  • Tradeswoman Leader

As part of the nomination process, entrants are asked to complete a short form and submit a brief essay outlining the nominee’s accomplishments, leadership qualities, and contributions to the construction sector. A panel of Construction Dive editors will review submissions and select honorees for publication during Women in Construction Week.

Nominees selected for the 2026 class will be featured in dedicated editorial coverage, reinforcing the program’s role in elevating women leaders and promoting visibility across commercial building and infrastructure sectors.

Construction Dive noted that nominees from previous years are eligible to reapply, provided they have not yet been selected.

Important deadline

The call for nominations will close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Feb. 9, 2026. Questions regarding the submission process can be directed to the Construction Dive editorial team.

Advancing industry recognition

The Construction Champions initiative continues to reflect broader industry efforts to support workforce development, leadership diversity, and professional advancement at a time when the construction sector faces ongoing labor challenges and skills gaps.

By spotlighting women leaders across management, the trades, and executive roles, the program aims to recognize excellence while encouraging the next generation of construction professionals to pursue leadership pathways.
