Jacksonville International Airport is moving forward with plans for a new Delta Sky Club as part of its major Concourse B expansion project, adding another premium passenger amenity to one of Florida’s growing aviation hubs.
City officials are reviewing plans for the build-out of a nearly 10,000-square-foot lounge within the airport’s new Concourse B facility, which is currently under construction. The project represents a significant upgrade to Delta Air Lines’ existing lounge presence at the airport and aligns with broader efforts to modernize passenger facilities.

The new club will relocate from its current location in Concourse A and occupy space primarily on the mezzanine level of the new terminal addition, with an entry area positioned on the boarding level.
Plans for the facility call for a range of passenger-focused amenities, including lounge seating areas, food service operations, a café, beverage service areas, and restrooms.
Project documents indicate the lounge will feature multiple functional zones designed to accommodate business travelers, leisure passengers, and loyalty program members. Dedicated areas for dining, relaxation, work activities, and social gathering are expected to be incorporated into the final design.
The project also includes a commercial kitchen and bar operations that will support expanded food and beverage offerings.
The lounge build-out is part of Jacksonville International Airport's larger Concourse B development, a $344 million infrastructure project designed to expand airport capacity and improve operational efficiency.
Construction on the three-level concourse began in 2024 and is scheduled for completion in late 2026. Once finished, the facility will add six gates and create additional space for passenger services, concessions, and airline operations.
The project marks the return of Concourse B to the airport after the original facility was removed more than a decade ago as part of previous terminal modernization efforts.
Airports across the United States continue investing in premium lounges, upgraded concessions, and enhanced passenger experiences as travel demand remains strong and airlines compete to attract high-value customers.
In addition to the Delta Sky Club relocation, Jacksonville International Airport is also advancing plans for an expanded public-use lounge and a new food hall featuring several restaurant operators.
These investments are increasingly viewed as important components of airport development strategies, helping facilities generate non-aeronautical revenue while improving customer satisfaction.
The Jacksonville airport expansion highlights the growing role of hospitality-driven design within aviation infrastructure projects. Modern airport developments increasingly blend transportation functionality with premium passenger amenities that enhance the overall travel experience.
For construction owners and airport authorities, projects such as Concourse B demonstrate how terminal expansions can create opportunities for additional revenue streams while supporting long-term passenger growth and operational efficiency.
As airports continue modernizing aging facilities, demand for specialized aviation construction, tenant build-outs, and hospitality-focused infrastructure is expected to remain strong across North America.
