ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — Dempsey Construction has expanded its market development leadership with the appointment of Rani El-Djoundi as senior director of market development, adding more than 25 years of construction industry experience across Southern California.
El-Djoundi has developed relationships with owners, developers, architects, consultants and other construction industry stakeholders during a career spanning more than two decades.
His previous work has included major aviation, health care, higher education, multifamily and entertainment-related projects. Notable assignments include the Terminal 5 renovation and reconstruction and Concourse 0 at Los Angeles International Airport, the UC San Diego P3 Healthcare Facility, CSU San Marcos elevator additions, the Paloma multifamily development in Santa Ana and renovation projects for NBCUniversal.
His experience combines business development and preconstruction responsibilities with client relationship management and strategic growth activities.
In his new position, El-Djoundi will work with Dempsey Construction's business development team to strengthen existing partnerships and develop new opportunities across Orange County and Los Angeles.
The appointment adds a senior industry professional with established relationships in two of Southern California's major construction markets. El-Djoundi's experience across different project types also provides Dempsey with additional market-development expertise as the company pursues new construction opportunities.
