Elmore County has advanced a major public safety infrastructure investment with the start of construction on a new county jail in Wetumpka, Alabama. Fite Building Company has been selected as the general contractor for the project, which is designed to replace aging facilities and provide a modern correctional environment capable of serving the county's current and future requirements.
The groundbreaking marks the beginning of construction on a project aimed at strengthening local detention infrastructure while supporting long-term public safety operations.
