Georgia Sheet Metal Firm to Build Alabama Plant

HUGULEY, Ala. — A Georgia-headquartered sheet metal machinery company is expanding into Alabama with plans to build a $1.5 million manufacturing facility that will add new jobs and strengthen the region’s industrial base.

MR6 Tech Services, which has specialized in servicing sheet metal equipment for roofing, siding, and HVAC clients for about two decades, will break ground this fall on its first-ever physical location — a 20,000-square-foot building in the Huguley Industrial Park in Chambers County.

First Facility Brings 20 Jobs — and Room for More

The new operation is expected to create up to 20 jobs initially, with the potential for additional hiring as the company grows.

Construction is set to begin in October, with an expected completion date of January 2026, positioning MR6 Tech to start operations early next year.

Owner Highlights Community Appeal and Future Plans

Michael Ralich, owner of MR6 Tech Services, said the expansion represents a major step forward for the company as it seeks to anchor its operations in a community that aligns with its values.

“The move reflects our company’s continued growth and expanding operations,” Ralich said. “As we look to the future, we are eager to work, live and invest in the Chambers County community.”

Ralich noted that proximity to Interstate 85 and the area’s “small-town, welcoming atmosphere” made Chambers County an ideal choice as MR6 Tech aims to strengthen its customer support and reach more clients throughout the Southeast.

Local Leaders See Economic Boost for Region

Chris Busby, executive director of the Chambers County Development Authority, welcomed MR6 Tech’s investment, calling it a perfect match for the region’s growing industrial sector.

“MR6 Tech is an ideal fit for the community, and we are confident that they will be a strong partner for continued economic growth for years to come,” Busby said.

Strengthening Alabama’s Advanced Manufacturing Sector

The Huguley Industrial Park has steadily attracted advanced manufacturing and supply chain businesses in recent years, thanks to its strategic location near I-85, skilled labor force, and local support for industrial growth.

The MR6 Tech project underscores Chambers County’s commitment to attracting new employers that bring good-paying jobs, new skills, and long-term community investment.
