MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Georgian real estate development firm European Village, which holds shares in the global hospitality group Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, has signaled a strong interest in importing Belarusian construction materials for use in its current and future projects across Georgia, according to the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry.

The company has specifically shown intent to purchase a wide range of materials, including cement, bricks, glass, ceramic tiles, and other building components that are integral to both residential and commercial construction. This move underscores European Village’s strategy to source high-quality, competitively priced materials from international suppliers to support the rapid expansion of its projects in Georgia’s booming construction sector.

The interest was made formal during a recent bilateral meeting hosted by the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry, which brought together representatives of Belarus’ top construction industry enterprises and executives from European Village. The session served as a platform for introducing Georgia’s business delegation to the capabilities and product offerings of leading Belarusian producers, including:

  • Berezastroymaterialy (building materials),
  • Keramin (ceramic tile and sanitary ware),
  • Belarusian Cement Company,
  • Belarusian Glass Company,
  • Dolomit (mineral products),
  • and design institutes such as Belniipgradostroitelstva, Belpromproekt, Institute Belgosproekt, and Belstroycenter.

Commercial proposals were shared and discussed, highlighting the potential for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the construction sector.

“European Village, a Georgian company and shareholder of the world’s largest hotel chain Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, has expressed interest in importing Belarusian construction materials, including cement, bricks, glass, ceramic tiles, and others, for their projects in Georgia,” the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry noted.

The Belarusian side emphasized its readiness to meet large-scale orders and support logistical coordination to ensure timely delivery and sustained supply.

In a show of logistical support and regional integration, the meeting also included representatives from the Belarusian Association of International Road Carriers (BAMAP) and several leading transport and logistics providers. Their presence underscored Belarus' intent to facilitate streamlined delivery channels for exporting construction goods to the Caucasus region.

“The Georgian company confirmed its interest in Belarusian construction materials for ongoing projects in Georgia,” the Ministry confirmed.

European Village has a portfolio of hospitality, residential, and commercial development projects throughout Georgia, many of which are designed to align with international hospitality standards due to their partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Their interest in Belarusian suppliers reflects growing trade ties between Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, and the expanding role Belarus plays as a manufacturer of construction-grade materials for export.

The talks mark an important step toward broader economic cooperation between Belarus and Georgia, with both sides indicating readiness to advance trade relations and explore new business opportunities in architecture and infrastructure development.
