Memphis Stone & Gravel, a Granite subsidiary, has opened a new River Yard aggregate distribution facility in Memphis, Tennessee, expanding regional material supply and strengthening Granite's integrated materials network across the Southeast.
The new operation is designed to improve the distribution of limestone products while broadening the company's aggregate offerings for contractors and infrastructure owners.
The six-acre River Yard began operations in July 2026 along the Mississippi River. The facility receives limestone transported by barge from Warren Paving's Slats Lucas Quarry in Salem, Kentucky, creating a direct connection between Granite's quarry operations and its regional distribution network.
The initial product lineup includes 610s, No. 8, 810, No. 57 and No. 4 limestone aggregates, providing materials commonly used in road construction, concrete production, drainage applications and site development.
The new location also marks Memphis Stone & Gravel's return to supplying limestone products after historically focusing on sand and gravel materials.
Granite said the River Yard supports its long-term strategy of expanding construction materials operations within key regional markets. By linking quarry production with river transportation and local distribution, the company aims to improve material availability and operational efficiency across the Southeast.
The integration of resources from Warren Paving with Memphis Stone & Gravel's established customer network expands Granite's ability to supply aggregate products for transportation, infrastructure and commercial construction projects throughout the region.
