Investment in offshore energy development continues to drive demand for integrated engineering and construction services. Halliburton has been awarded contracts to provide drilling and completions services for the GranMorgu deepwater development offshore Suriname, supporting a long-term well construction program operated by TotalEnergies.
Under the agreement, Halliburton will deliver drilling and completions services using an integrated execution model that combines planning, engineering, digital technologies, and field operations.
The company will implement digital workflows, real-time data capabilities, automation, and remote operations to improve well construction efficiency, enhance drilling accuracy, and support project delivery throughout the development program.
The project also includes investments to strengthen Suriname's energy infrastructure and local supply chain.
Halliburton has upgraded its liquid mud and cement plant in collaboration with local suppliers and supported the construction of the country's first drilling and completions workshop equipped for equipment maintenance and repair.
The company also plans to expand local hiring and supplier participation as the offshore development progresses.
Large-scale offshore developments require coordinated engineering, construction, and digital technologies to improve project efficiency and operational performance. For contractors, energy owners, and infrastructure stakeholders, investments in integrated delivery models and local capability development can strengthen project execution while supporting long-term growth in regional energy markets.
