New Operations Hub at AllianceTexas

Hillwood announced that Joby Aviation has signed a lease for 45,000 square feet at Alliance Air Trade Center in Haslet, located within the 27,000-acre AllianceTexas development.

The leased facility represents Joby's first major presence in North Texas and will serve as a base for the company's activities related to electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The location places Joby within an established aviation and logistics environment with direct access to multimodal transportation infrastructure and a regional workforce supporting aviation and advanced manufacturing.

Expanding Advanced Air Mobility Infrastructure

Joby develops electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed for commercial passenger transportation.

Its new location is situated within the AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone, a public-private initiative that supports testing, development, and deployment of next-generation transportation technologies across both aviation and surface mobility.

Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport, the aviation center of AllianceTexas, was developed to support cargo, corporate aviation, and industrial activity, making it a strategic location for companies developing emerging aviation technologies.

Why It Matters

The addition of Joby Aviation reflects continued investment in facilities supporting advanced air mobility and aerospace innovation. For developers, contractors, and infrastructure owners, projects tied to eVTOL operations are creating demand for specialized industrial, aviation, and research facilities as states and regional transportation partners prepare for future commercial deployment of advanced air mobility technologies.
