Residential development activity continues across the Charlotte metropolitan area as JPOrleans expands its homebuilding pipeline with three planned communities in established neighborhoods. The projects will increase housing inventory in locations that offer access to employment centers, schools and recreational amenities.
Together, the developments will deliver 101 new homes in Matthews, South Charlotte and the Palisades area.
The largest project, Longwood Preserve, will include 56 single-family homes at 17325 Youngblood Road in the Palisades near Lake Wylie. The development will preserve a substantial portion of the site as open space and protected trees while incorporating landscaped areas throughout the community.
Brooksfield will consist of 30 duplex-style carriage homes in South Charlotte adjacent to James Boyce Park and the McAlpine Creek Greenway. The community is also located near several private schools.
Summerfield will add 15 single-family homes on estate-sized homesites at 9725 Sardis Road in Matthews.
The three developments are planned in established neighborhoods rather than greenfield locations, reflecting continued demand for infill residential construction in the Charlotte market. The projects emphasize proximity to transportation corridors, parks, trails and existing community infrastructure.
JPOrleans, a third-generation homebuilder, continues to expand its presence in North Carolina alongside its operations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Charlotte remains one of the nation's active residential construction markets, creating opportunities for developers, site contractors and building trades. Infill housing projects such as these help increase residential supply while leveraging existing infrastructure, utilities and transportation networks in established communities.
