WEST BEND — The Kettle Moraine YMCA announced on Friday the successful completion of the final phase of its ongoing construction project, with the renovation of the training center at the West Washington Branch, located at 1111 W. Washington St.

According to the YMCA’s press release, the newly renovated training center is designed to cater to a wide range of fitness and sports performance needs. It will serve as a space for individual training, group sessions, Alloy small group training, and youth-oriented speed, strength, and conditioning programs.

“We are excited to have a dedicated training space for one-on-one sessions, small to large groups, and athletes across all age groups,” said Wellness Director Kayla Heimerman. “The Training Center is expansive and was created with the specific purpose of supporting both general conditioning and sports performance. Our state-of-the-art equipment will allow us to provide superior instruction to a broader spectrum of clients.”

The center’s renovation means that athletes and teams, regardless of their age or sport, will now be able to access specialized sports performance training at the West Washington Branch. Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Lucas Nett will oversee training sessions, which are tailored to help individuals enhance their strength, endurance, and overall athletic performance.
