A permanent office in Bend, Oregon, is expanding Lease Crutcher Lewis’ local construction presence after three decades of work across Central Oregon.
The Pacific Northwest general contractor established the Bend location in the Old Mill District to support clients and communities throughout the region. The move follows years of operating from temporary jobsite offices and gives the company a dedicated local base supported by its broader construction resources.
Lewis has worked in Central Oregon since 1996, completing projects across hospitality, education, life sciences, commercial and mixed-use development.
The permanent location strengthens Lewis’ ability to combine local relationships with resources from its established Oregon operations in Portland and Eugene.
The company also brings experience with alternative project delivery methods, including progressive design-build, as well as an integrated approach that connects design and construction teams during project development.
Recent projects include Central Oregon Community College’s Wickiup Hall, the Jackstraw mixed-use development and a new Sisters Coffee location in Bend.
Lewis also has a long history of work in the region, including renovation work at The Great Hall at Sunriver Resort and multiple projects for Bend Research, now part of Lonza.
Lewis broke ground in 2026 on CASCADA Bend, a 130,000-square-foot wellness destination in Bend. The development is planned to include a boutique hotel and thermal spa, with an expected opening in 2028.
The project adds to Lewis’ growing portfolio of commercial and hospitality work in Central Oregon and demonstrates the company's continued involvement in major regional developments.
The contractor's integrated design and construction approach is intended to help owners manage project risks, coordinate design objectives and address construction requirements earlier in the delivery process.
The Bend office is led by Project Executive Matt Wycoff, a longtime Bend resident who has spent 20 years building projects throughout Central Oregon. Wycoff also serves on the Board of Directors of Economic Development for Central Oregon.
Other members of the Bend team live and work in the region, giving the office local knowledge and established community relationships.
Lewis said its permanent presence reflects a long-term commitment to Central Oregon and responsible development in the communities where its teams operate.
The company continues to serve Oregon clients through its Portland, Eugene and Bend operations while drawing on the resources of its broader organization.
The Bend office gives owners and developers in Central Oregon access to a locally based construction team with experience in complex projects, progressive design-build and integrated project delivery.
For Lewis, the expansion also creates a stronger platform for pursuing future work in a region where the contractor has already established a 30-year project history.
