A permanent local presence can give contractors greater capacity to manage projects, develop regional relationships and respond to growing construction demand. Lease Crutcher Lewis has established a new office in Bend, Oregon, strengthening its operations in Central Oregon after three decades of project activity in the region.
The Bend office is located in the Old Mill District and is supported by Lewis’ broader resources and teams across the Pacific Northwest. The move formalizes a local operating base for a market where the general contractor has worked since 1996.
Lease Crutcher Lewis has completed projects across several sectors in Central Oregon, including hospitality, commercial, education and mixed-use development.
Recent work includes Wickiup Hall at Central Oregon Community College, the Jackstraw mixed-use development in Bend and a new Sisters Coffee location. The company also began construction in 2026 on CASCADA Bend, a 130,000-square-foot wellness destination that will include a boutique hotel and thermal spa.
CASCADA Bend is scheduled to open in 2028 and represents another significant addition to Lewis’ Central Oregon project portfolio.
The company has also worked with Bend Research, now part of Lonza, and completed renovation work at The Great Hall at Sunriver Resort.
The new office is led by project executive Matt Wycoff, who has lived in Bend and worked on Central Oregon projects for about two decades. Wycoff also serves on the Board of Directors of Economic Development for Central Oregon.
Lewis said its Bend team combines local market knowledge with access to the company’s broader construction capabilities. The contractor also provides alternative delivery services, including progressive design-build, along with integrated design and construction processes.
The Bend operation adds to Lewis’ existing Oregon offices in Portland and Eugene. The company is employee-owned and has operated for about 140 years.
Establishing a permanent office can position a general contractor to pursue work more consistently in a regional market while maintaining closer relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors and community organizations.
For Central Oregon owners and developers, Lewis’ expanded local presence adds another established general contractor with experience across education, hospitality, commercial, mixed-use and other project types. Its recent project activity also indicates continued participation in the region’s development pipeline.
The Bend office gives Lewis a dedicated base from which to manage current projects and pursue additional construction opportunities across Central Oregon.
