Construction firms continue investing in operational support and process management roles as contractors expand regional operations and standardize internal project delivery procedures across multiple offices.
LeChase Construction Services promoted Melissa Pendergraph to operations support coordinator, expanding her responsibilities within the contractor’s Southeast operations.
In her new position, Pendergraph will support multiple LeChase regions through development and maintenance of operational training resources and process documentation.
Her responsibilities also include identifying workflow inefficiencies and coordinating process improvement initiatives across the organization.
According to LeChase, Pendergraph will serve as a key resource for members of the company’s Operations Support Group.
The position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Pendergraph joined LeChase Construction Services in 2018 as a project administrator.
She later advanced to operations support specialist in 2022 before assuming her latest role.
Pendergraph earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
LeChase maintains operations throughout multiple East Coast markets, including offices across New York, North Carolina, Maryland and New Jersey.
General contractors and construction managers increasingly emphasize operational consistency, process standardization and internal training as project delivery becomes more complex across regional and multi-office operations.
For construction owners and project partners, operational support teams can play an important role in maintaining project controls, administrative consistency and communication workflows across large contractor organizations.
As contractors continue expanding geographically, firms are also placing greater focus on internal systems development and staff support functions tied to project execution and operational efficiency.
