ROCHESTER, N.Y. — LeChase Construction Services has expanded its preconstruction and design leadership by promoting Raymond W. LeChase II to senior leader of planning and design, strengthening the company's capabilities in early project planning and design-build delivery.
Based in Rochester, LeChase will oversee preconstruction efforts for core clients and selected design-build projects. His responsibilities also include developing and maintaining company-wide design standards.
LeChase will use his architectural and development background to create conceptual designs for feasibility studies and early-stage preconstruction. His work will focus on addressing information gaps during project planning, improving estimating and scheduling accuracy and reducing turnaround times.
The expanded role connects architectural design with construction planning, allowing project teams to evaluate constructability and sequencing earlier in the project lifecycle.
LeChase joined LeChase Construction Services as a project manager in 2021. Before joining the company, he spent eight years in New York City working in architectural design, urban planning and real estate development.
He holds a master's degree in real estate development from New York University and a bachelor's degree in architecture from Syracuse University. His professional credentials include LEED Green Associate certification, Design-Build Professional certification through the Design-Build Institute of America and a New York state architect license.
LeChase also serves on boards for organizations including the DBIA Liberty chapter, Rochester Architecture Foundation and Junior Builders' Exchange.
The promotion places additional responsibility on preconstruction and design functions that influence project feasibility, cost planning, scheduling and constructability before construction begins.
