The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) has added a fall session of its Institute for Project Management (IPM) program in response to strong demand, with a limited number of seats remaining for the November offering in Dallas, Texas.
MCAA announced the additional training opportunity on Sept. 10, 2026, expanding its 2026 education calendar for mechanical project managers. The program is designed for mechanical contractors and focuses on practical project management training delivered by experienced industry professionals.
The November IPM program will be held in Dallas rather than Austin. MCAA said the curriculum and target audience remain unchanged.
The program is intended for individuals with at least three years of experience as mechanical project managers. Participants will continue to receive hands-on instruction in small groups, with mechanical contractors serving as instructors and providing industry-focused guidance.
The additional session follows strong demand for IPM training and expands the association’s opportunities for project managers seeking industry-specific professional development during 2026.
The Dallas program will use a slightly different delivery format while maintaining the existing curriculum. The first week will combine live online instruction with self-paced online sessions.
The second week will consist of six days of in-person classes in Dallas. Participants must successfully complete all required online coursework before attending the in-person portion of the program.
MCAA has also increased the registration limit for the Dallas session. Each dues-paying company office can send up to six project managers to an IPM program in Dallas.
Registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, with MCAA encouraging companies to identify participants and register as soon as possible while seats remain available.
The additional IPM session gives mechanical contractors another opportunity to strengthen project management capabilities before the end of 2026. The combination of online preparation and intensive in-person training provides companies with another format for developing experienced project managers and supporting workforce development across the mechanical contracting industry.
