Advanced manufacturing investment is driving demand for specialized industrial facilities capable of supporting precision production and complex engineering operations. Moog has opened a 150,000-square-foot Advanced Integrated Manufacturing facility at its East Aurora, New York, campus as part of a $150 million investment.
The facility opening coincides with the company's 75th anniversary and adds manufacturing capacity to Moog's Western New York operations.
The Advanced Integrated Manufacturing, or AIM, facility is designed to support Moog's production activities in aerospace, defense and industrial motion control.
The East Aurora campus has been central to Moog's operations since the company was established there in 1951. The new facility adds modern manufacturing space within the company's existing New York footprint.
Moog develops and manufactures motion-control systems and components used across aerospace, defense, industrial automation and other technology-intensive applications. Its aerospace work includes flight-control systems for commercial aircraft and systems associated with space programs.
The $150 million investment represents a significant expansion of Moog's physical manufacturing infrastructure in New York. The project was recognized by New York state officials during a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the facility's opening.
Moog's global workforce exceeds 14,000 employees. The company's continued investment in East Aurora maintains a major advanced manufacturing presence in Western New York.
The facility adds to the region's concentration of aerospace and precision manufacturing activity and supports production capabilities requiring specialized engineering and manufacturing processes.
The AIM facility illustrates how advanced manufacturers are investing in purpose-built production capacity to support aerospace, defense and industrial markets. For construction owners and contractors, such projects require facilities capable of accommodating specialized manufacturing operations, equipment and production workflows.
The $150 million investment also represents continued capital spending in Western New York's advanced manufacturing sector, with Moog retaining a substantial manufacturing presence in East Aurora.
