NV5 Lands $20M in NYC Parks Upgrades, Continuing Two-Decade Partnership
HOLLYWOOD, Fla., June 30, 2025 — NV5 Global, Inc. (NASDAQ: NVEE) has been awarded more than $20 million in engineering design and construction management contracts by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. The contracts will drive infrastructure improvements across the city's vast network of parks and recreational facilities.

The firm will provide a broad range of professional services, including engineering, landscape architecture, inspection, and construction management, in support of the city's efforts to revamp recreation centers, greenways, sports fields, playgrounds, and other public spaces. The projects will span across NYC’s five boroughs, helping upgrade the experience for both residents and visitors.
“These improvements will enhance user experience and quality of life, providing residents and visitors with attractive, inclusive, and resilient amenities for a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational programs,” NV5 stated in the release.
This award reinforces NV5’s long-standing relationship with the NYC Parks Department, which manages more than 30,000 acres of public land and over 5,000 separate properties.
“For over two decades, Parks has put their trust in NV5 to provide professional engineering, landscape architecture, open space planning, and construction management services for a wide variety of public facilities throughout the five boroughs of New York City,” said NV5 CEO Ben Heraud. “New York City Parks and Recreation is responsible for over 30,000 acres and more than 5,000 individual properties, and we are proud to support their commitment to providing accessible, high-quality recreational opportunities that improve well-being and quality of life.”
NV5’s expanded scope of work will support not only infrastructure upgrades but also the city’s broader goals of environmental sustainability, equity in public access, and long-term asset resilience.
The NYC Parks Department continues to invest heavily in maintaining and improving the city's green infrastructure, especially as urban populations grow and demand for public recreational spaces increases. With more than 1,700 parks citywide, New York's commitment to enhancing its open spaces also supports broader environmental and climate adaptation goals.
NV5’s contracts align with New York City's PlaNYC and OneNYC sustainability plans, which emphasize green infrastructure, public health, and neighborhood equity. The improvements are expected to include stormwater management features, ADA-compliant accessibility upgrades, and energy-efficient building systems.
The award also highlights NV5’s ability to deliver multidisciplinary services at scale in complex urban environments—a key advantage as cities nationwide pursue resilience-focused infrastructure funding under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act.
