Allen County

In the village of Harrod, Main Street between First Street and Sixth Street has reopened following an extended closure for roadway reconstruction. While traffic is now flowing through the corridor, motorists should expect intermittent temporary lane closures as finishing work continues through November. Crews are completing final surface treatments and related improvements to fully wrap up the project.

Auglaize County

Several major projects are affecting travel in Auglaize County, including work on Interstate 75 and State Route 67.

On I-75, drivers should anticipate intermittent overnight lane closures in both directions between Middle Pike and Hengstler Road. The closures will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., beginning Monday, March 10, and continuing through November 2025. Construction crews will be performing bridge-related work during these overnight hours.

In the Village of Waynesfield, State Route 67 is closed between North Anthony Wayne Trail and Westminster Street. The closure began Thursday, July 24, and is expected to remain in place through 2025 as crews replace a culvert.

Posted detours are in place to guide motorists around the closure. Westbound traffic is being routed via State Route 117, Bellefontaine Road, Waynesfield Road, State Route 196, and back to State Route 67. Eastbound traffic is being detoured using North Westminster Street, Waynesfield Road, State Route 196, State Route 117, Bellefontaine Road, and returning to State Route 67.

Hardin County

In the city of Kenton, two major reconstruction efforts are underway along U.S. 68 and Detroit Street.

A city-managed project has closed Detroit Street between Ohio Street and Carrol Street beginning January 24. The work includes full roadway reconstruction, along with new curb, gutter, and sewer installations. The reopening of this section is anticipated in mid-December.

Several truck detours are in effect during construction. U.S. 68 traffic is being routed via U.S. 33, State Route 117, State Route 235, State Route 309, and State Route 701. Additional detours are posted for State Routes 67 and 309 to accommodate through traffic and commercial vehicles.

Separately, the Ohio Department of Transportation is overseeing a reconstruction project on U.S. 68/Detroit Street between Eliza Street and Carrol Street. That section closed June 9 and is scheduled to remain closed for approximately 180 days, with work expected to conclude the week of November 24. The roadway is anticipated to reopen on Tuesday, November 25. This project includes full-depth pavement replacement, new curb ramps, and sidewalk improvements.

Putnam and Van Wert Counties

No road construction projects are currently planned in Putnam or Van Wert counties that are expected to impact traffic.
